Clean inside, I would NEVER use this as a planter (opening too small) but great for vase for fresh or dried arrangement. There is a manufacturing defect on the left shoe, the glaze didn't cover the black part. Great markings on bottom. We shipped for a museum, and ship in sturdy boxes with item well-protected.
