Description: I bought this new about 20 years ago. It’s always been on display in my kitchen and I love it, but I used it once for sweet potato casserole and then put it back on the shelf to look at and not use. It’s time for this to go to someone who will treat it like the work-horse it’s intended to be. It’s in beautiful shape - essentially new, with no chips anywhere and no marks or stains on the enamel. There is a thin ring of wear on the bottom from being moved around the metal rack it sat on. However, don’t inspect a Le Creuset piece too closely or you’re bound to find some flaws you never noticed before. When taking photos for this listing, I noticed some thin eyelash-like marks on the outside orange colored enamel. See the last three pics for closeups. They’re not from rubbing against something metallic because a little Bartender’s Friend didn’t remove them. And they’re not craze marks because it’s only been used once and never exposed to temp shock, and they’re under or in the orange enamel - the surface is smooth and intact with no splits or cracks like you get with crazing. So I’m guessing it might have been some undissolved color particles in the red part of the Flame enamel that streaked down as it was fired. 🤷🏻♀️ If I never noticed them for over 20 years, hopefully you won’t either.
