Description: Good Condition. This glass powder box has three small chips on the rim of the bottom part. One of these is a rough spot and the other two are tiny chips. The picture of the bottom with tape on it shows where these small chips are located. The top part of the box has two chips, one of which is bigger than the other and I point at these in my pictures. The top also has a scratch where the color came off. The bottom also has scratches that show color loss. These amberina pieces made by Indiana Glass were dipped in a red coating so it can come off. I would not wash this piece. You can run it under very tepid water and pat it dry. I would not rub it as the color could start flaking off. This issue of flaking and losing color is what is making survivors of this Amberina line become rarer and rarer as time goes by. This swan jar was made in the 1970s by Jeannette Glass. This trinket powder jar measures 4 3/4 inches or 12.065 cm at its tallest point with the lid on. It measures 1 1/2 inches or 3.81 cm deep without its lid in place. The bowl part measures 4 7/8 inches or 12.38 cm in diameter at the top rim. The bowl part measures 3 7/8 inches or 9.8425 cm in diameter at the foot. The lid measures 4 7/16 inches or 11.27 cm in diameter at its rim. I remember these amberina glass pieces in the stores when I was a kid. If you have a grandma born in the 1970s, she would remember them too! This one has a really strong color and as my pictures show, it just glows in the light!
