Description: Interesting c. 1970 Framus Country and Western model dreadnought. Made in West Germany. Unusual in that it has a dovetail joint rather than the odd bolt-on neck more often seen here. Looks to have all original parts, but I don’t have any thumbwheels on the adjustable bridge. It’s all the way down, so it rests directly on the top (better for tone anyway). Obvious strumming wear at soundhole and a little bit of a scuffed area along the bass-side lower bout, but otherwise quite clean. Spectacular figured maple back. Plays great and has respectable tone. Not bad on the bottom end, and sings quite nicely under aggressive playing. Non-original hardshell case that is rock solid, but does have one cosmetically rough spot as shown in the pics. I think this would be a great stage axe for someone who doesn’t want to look like everyone else! NOTE: USA regulations under the CITES convention (trade in endangered species) have finally been loosened to allow easy international shipping of vintage instruments, unless they contain BRAZILIAN r******d (Dahlbergia nigra). Unfortunately, I can't really guarantee whether or not here is any Brazilian on this guitar, so it cannot be shipped internationally.UPDATE: Ebay now demands that we sellers give THIRTY DAYS for returns. Any honest buyer will know within a few days whether there is any need for a return. I no longer take returns through Ebay, but I will never "stick" another musician with a guitar. Please contact me if there any problems, and we'll work it out.
