Description: This antique cut out doll is a very special piece of Americana history. She is an old cut-out doll of a little girl who is both happy and sad. She is approximately 9” and most like made in the early 1900s. The fabric has some staining and fading. The seams are in good shape without any gaps and there aren’t any holes in the material. I think she is filled with "excelsior" which is a fine curled wood shavings. It is a handmade doll, lovingly made with scarce materials. Some may see this doll as creepy - and I understand. Yet I hope she is bought by someone who sees her raw simplistic beauty and how much she represents American heritage.
