Vintage Antique Boudoir Bed Doll Composition Southern Belle Blue Net 1920’s

Description: This is a wonderful boudoir doll! She seems to be dressed like a southern Belle to me! The actual doll is about 26” long. Her dress adds about another 5”. She is composition. Her arms, hands, legs and feet are all in very good condition. Her fingertips are painted red. Her shoes are painted on. Her face is in very good condition structurally. There is some crackling in the paint, I guess. You cannot feel it with your finger. Her painted features are all very sharp and pretty. I am suspicious that this might not be her original clothes. Even so, this dress has some age. If it is not the original it was probably done in the 1950’s. I say that because of the fabric used and the style. Her dress is a beautiful blue net ruffled dress! It goes around her neck and flowered head piece. It has come unstitched on one side of the bodice. See photos. She has a layer of ivory colored stiff fabric. She has a layer of mustard colored fabric with 6 1/2” of crocheted lace attached. Very pretty. She has another layer of stiff loose weave ivory colored fabric. Her legs are covered with cotton pantaloons. She has a corsage of ribbons at her waist. She is stuffed with straw. She is quite lovely and in very good condition. LOOK CLOSELY AT PHOTOS.
