Two Scarce Vintage LI XIONGCAI'S LANDSCAPE PAINTING MANUALS PB Books Parts 2 & 3

Description: Li Xiongcai's Landscape Painting Manual, Parts Two and Three (2 soft cover books), in Chinese language with partial English translation. According to the translations, Part Two book (approximately 108 pages) contains "The painting of rocks" and "Various types of mountain" and Part Three book (approximately 110 pages) contains "Running water, mists, clouds, sketching from life" and "Excerpts from Li Xiongcai's treatise on painting". Each book measures about 10 1/8" by 7 1/8" by 1/4" thick and is profusely illustrated with mostly full-page black and white examples. I estimate a publishing date of 1981 based upon a numerical translation provided along the bottom of the rear covers of both books. I consider these books to be in acceptable to good overall vintage collectible condition with the following noted flaws: The paperback soft covers of both books shows substantial wear along the spine including tears, and general deterioration- the stapled binding of both books appears to be intact, with no loose or separated pages. The covers show mild creasing, scrapes/scratches, minor rubbing, corner and edge wear, a small ink line on the back of "Part Three" and slight dinginess. There is pencil writing on the front blank free end papers of both books (I believe it is written in Chinese).
