The ribs prevent the passage of fluids or chemicals from the hole. Easy to use plugs when drilling holes through concrete slabs during a termite treatment. Also can be used to fill carpenter bee holes in wood. Great for filling up drill holes in the concrete after a termite treatment. Line them up in the hole and pop them in with a hammer.
