Up for sale is a New Old Stock (No Retail Packaging) Excellent overall condition, clean Factory Original Springfield XDS / XDE 6-Round Magazine in .40 S&W. This particular Magazine was native to ONLY the XDS semiautomatic pistol (and was slated for use in a "never-released", or "limited-release" .40 S&W version of the XDE) - DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MAGAZINE for the "XD, XD-M, or any other" Model! This Magazine was acquired from an acquaintance that had a Springfield XDS 40 that was sold recently - there was an extra magazine he kept in the case since the pistol was brand new and this Magazine was never fired. There are a few minuscule handling marks present, only stemming from a few instances of inserting the Magazine into the source pistol, and a couple other tiny nicks or rub marks on the Magazine Body and Baseplate. So officially, we are choosing the "Used" format for creating the Listing, to play it safe that it has in fact been "handled", and there is no Retail Packaging included - but its about as new as you're gonna get without being fresh out of the package!! Functionally, for the record, the Spring is strong and responsive, the Follower slides nicely without binding, the Baseplate is intact with no cracks or splits in the plastic - and most importantly, there has been absolutely no alteration to the Feed Lips or any other component of the Magazine. Priced accordingly, for a Magazine that's basically "New without the package". Compatible Models: To the Best of our Knowledge, there are NO OTHER MODELS beyond the Springfield XDS (and possibly - if ever produced - Model XDE), chambered in .40 S&W, that this Magazine would be interchangeable with. (The XDE was similar to the XDS, but the XDE had an external hammer, and was originally introduced in 9mm, and .45ACP - and apparently was supposed to be released in .40 S&W but production on that model ceased before standard production of the .40 S&W came to market .... "so we are told".) This, ultimately explains why the baseplate is marked for BOTH models, but we can't find a single example of a XDE in .40 S&W to exist!! As with any previously-owned gun part there may be minor imperfections and we have attempted to capture a fair rendition of the condition of the item in the image set.
