Shelley Vogue 11772 unhandled coffee cup & saucer with silver hallmarked holder.

Description: A very rare Shelley Art Deco Vogue "Diamonds" pattern No 11772 unhandled coffee cup & saucer with silver hallmarked holder. C.1930. Pattern No 11772 Diamonds: Orange, black and green diamonds with grey bands and lines. Orange trim. White ground. Entered in pattern book during or after 1930. The shape of this cup and saucer is the unhandled coffee. The maker of the silver holder is Walker & Hall. The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 39mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 52mm (2 inches) / height of cup 54mm (2.2 inches) / diameter of saucer 114mm (4.5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching or rubbing. All paintwork & enamelling is in excellent order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have an excellent true sound to them when lightly tapped. Silver hallmarked holder is also in very good condition.
