Description: Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui G-9000, G-901, G-9000DB, or G-901DB receiver. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild one of those receivers, except it does not include replacements for the main filter capacitors. These receivers use special oval main filter caps that are no longer made, so you can either leave yours alone or restuff them with smaller caps. I will have those smaller caps available soon, but not yet. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don't buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay--those are counterfeit and will blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver (except the four filter caps). The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you're doing a rebuild. Three new relays for the power supply board, a new chassis-mount soft-start relay with standoffs, and a huge number of new diodes are also included. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Nichicon VY, Panasonic FC, and Wima film. Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi. The Sansui G-9000 has a LOT more parts in it than a typical vintage stereo receiver. This kit includes a total of 300 parts, which is more than almost any other kit I sell. This will be a long, slow rebuild. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 100W or 150W incandescent bulb.
