The 3 astronauts: Michael Collins, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin travelled to the moon; landed on the lunar surface and returned to earth. On this epic flight, Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first human to set foot on the moon. This cover was machine cancelled on board the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Hornet on 07/24/1969, the day of the recovery and franked with a stamp of the period.
