Description: Very Rare Intact Antique Sarreguemines French Pottery coffeemaker made c. 1894-1919. Made in France but while under control of Germany (French Coat of Lorraine and Made in Germany). Based on some research, because it’s stamped “Made in” Germany, I believe it was stamped sometime between 1914-1919, however, it appears the “original” stamp may have been “re-done” with the current stamping. Not sure if it was due to the McKinley Act or if a German “forced” re-stamp due to their occupation. The item does have some minor (not repaired) hairline cracking (see pics) which probably lead too the original owners to stop using it; which probably explains why it is in such nice condition for its age. It measures approx. 12” high and 6” wide.
