Description: Very spectacular antique ormolu and patinated bronze centerpiece of empire design from Paris. Dates to the 19th century. Wonderful empire ladies with moth or butterfly wings holding laurel wreaths standing on spheres emerging from gold leaves. Base is has laurel wreaths with bows on each side. The ladies support a basket at the top with an ancient Egyptian looking design. Very large size at 24 inches tall x 9.5 inches wide at basket rim. Good condition for age. Age wear and spotting see photos mostly at base & inside basket top. Top basket has a little bit of a wobble when you press against it. Basket rim has a wave spot see photos. Heavy large piece that needs extra packing and larger box so shipping is more for this one. Very rare to find these really old french centerpiece in this large size.
