Authorized Dealer since 1989 The Little Giant Ladder Type 1 Palm Button Assembly Kit fits some older and some current Little Giant Ladders. Fits most Type 1 250lb rated ladders, Alta One, 1A Megalite, and some models of fiberglass Little Giant Ladders, from year 2010 to current. If your Little Giant Ladder has an EXTERNAL spring on the hinge that is clearly visible to the eye, then there is a good chance this is the part you will need. CAUTION: This newer palm button has a 5/8" diameter inside hole and will not fit the older palm buttons (circa 2010 and earlier) with a 5/16" diameter inside hole. That smaller palm button is obsolete and is no longer available. The ONLY remedy to replace the older 5/16" palm buttons is to replace the ENTIRE hinge lock assembly, which comes with the newer style 5/8" hole and is a direct replacement for all the older Type 1 hinge locks. Part number 31004. Supersedes old part numbers 20158.
