Description: Selling my Western Bx-54 Bailout / Survival knife/ machete was issued for the U.S. military during WW2. I donโt consider this knife a V-44 but it is the style. The earliest version/style (which I am also selling) is pre war Collins #18 with a green horn handle. After which during an act in ww2 other companies were making these. The 1930s Collins #18 was the only one with the green horn handle, the ones after are all black colored Bakelite. Case made a model for the war which Is referred to as the V44. Back to this knifeโฆ it matches the style of the Kinfolks, Collins 18, and Case V44 but it is just called a Western Bx-54 and is actually one of the 2 rare models. Overall the knife measures roughly 14 1/2โ. As stated above it has a Bakelite handle. If you look in the second to last image, there is a very tiny chip on the blade which isnโt uncommon at all. The blade measures from top to the cross-guard roughly 9 1/8โ. Sheath has imperfections due to age as seen and the clasps/snaps could be cleaned but I am selling as is. Very nice piece for somebody to add to their collection. Message with any questions and please check out my other items and follow me to see more upcoming items. Thank you.
