Cuddly as a teddy and sweet enough to eat. And who "bears" responsibility for this great idea? The designers Heinz Klein and Georg Leidig. From a rare, unsold trove of Lumibears, this example comes in its original box, and includes a Lumibear catalog. The iconic, "Gummi bear" body is made of translucent polypropylene, so the bear glows from within. The lamp has a corded switch, and takes up to a 60W equivalent bulb (not included). CFL or LED bulbs run cooler than old-school incandescent bulbs, and are recommended if you'd like your "Gummi Bear" to light up extra bright or in fancy or shifting colors. Daylight bulbs work especially well, in our opinion. Lamp dimensions are approximately: 13.5"H, 8.5"W, 8"D. Lamp is inspected, tested, and carefully packed before shipment. (Please note that no two Lumibears are exactly alike, as the molding process results in occasional "birthmarks" of less-translucent plastic.
