There are side zippers on the lower part of the outer legs so you can take these on and off even with your skates/shoes still on. They have an elastic waistband with an drawstring tie for size adjustment. From the tag - "37.5 technology captures and releases moisture vapor - helping you zone in on a personal microclimate of ideal comfort." When laid flat and unstretched, these measure 17.5" inches across at the waistband (several more inches with stretch) and 45" inches in length with a 32.5" inch inseam.
