Original rear cap SN: 900xxxxRemark:Year 2005 The leica mp3 silver chrome is a close reproduction of the original mp from the 1950s and 1960s. the mp3 has the raised viewfinder window frame and an external frame counter. the leica mp3 rangefinder bright lines are set for 35, 50, and 90mm lenses. the top plate engravings of the leica mp3 are modeled upon the 1950s and 1960s m cameras. the winder lever, rewind knob, and the lens release button match those of the mp original. the leather covering is a replica of the vulcanite covering of the earlier m too. the retro lens barrel summilux-m 50mm f/1.4 asph silver chrome lens has a scalloped focusing ring, and a vented lens hood. the lhsa logo is engraved on the bottom of the lens above the engraving “lens made in germany” the leicavit mp silver chrome rapidwinder is based upon the original 1956 model with "leicavit mp" script engraved on it, and was originally sold as an accessory to the mp original. use of the leicavit with the mp3 body permits winding and sequential shooting without removing the camera from the eye.
