The Waterman Liaison model is a link between the Waterman heritage and modern times. The design of the pen is an interpretation of the LeMan spirit presented in a classic and sophisticated profile. It replaced the Man 100/200 as Waterman's "top of the line" pen, I believe in 1994. However, it's reign was short-lived. I think I have read that it was produced only for two years. In contrast, both the Gentleman and Man 100 were produced for about 10 years. I'm sure there is an interesting story about the development and the rapid demise of the Liaison, but it is unknown to me.Measures: 14.3 cm long, 12.2 mm diameter.Period: circa 1994.Features: The substantial black gloss lacquer barrel over brass is basically a cylinder with a slight swelling in mid-length, wave pattern accented bands and clip finished in 23 Kt. gold-plate. There is no defined separate section. The Waterman L'Etalon model is an expression of elegance and modernity. It is considered one of the best modern Waterman pens, both in design and construction.
