A solo album by Andre Schoch, the virtuoso of the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic, is now available on Germany's Es-Dur. Andre Schoch has studied under some of the world's greatest masters such as Matthias Hoefs, Reinhold Friedrich, Klaus Breker, and Gabor Talkevi, and has been principal trumpet of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Hamburg State Philharmonic. After being active as a performer, he transferred to the Berlin Philharmonic in 2017. He is also active as a chamber musician, and is a member of the brass ensemble ``10 for Brass'' and Duo Schoch/Houricke. He also regularly participates in Germany's leading international brass ensemble, German Brass. As an educator, he also focuses on teaching younger students at the Karajan Academy and Mannheim University of Music. This album is a collection of five concertos written in the 18th century, which he says have been his favorites since he was a child. The title ``CORE'' conveys the soul of the sound that Schoch wanted to express with his instruments, the center of his repertoire, and the meaning of the ``core'' work. He uses the rich musical interpretation he learned under masters on the piccolo trumpet made by the German master craftsman Tine.
