Description: Job 41 LeviathanThe mighty Leviathan depicted as a pelagic relative of Spinosaurus with text from Job 41 of the King James Version. His description speaks of a powerful animal with a simi-aquatic lifestyle, which I assume was between crocs and sea turtles. Fire-breathing is lost to modern animalia so I will forever wonder how it worked and what it looked like. (We do have electric emitting fish which is cool.) Along with breath that ignites coals, the sharp belly scales are up there in my favorite part of this creature’s description. I would love to know what creature it actually was, but that’s not for me to know. I chose a spinosaur because I think they’re cool and Spinosaurus defies a reliable description. I have been iterating this design since 2014 and have seen 3-4 “accurate” depictions that revoke the previous one. I personally like knuckle walking 2014 the most, but with 2020’s tail (it just looks like modern dragons), so I decided to keep those features in the design. After all, pandas are not aquatic but polar bears are marine, so it’s not unlikely that Spinosaurus had a highly aquatic relative. I gave him blubber with more over his shoulders to give the body a more hydrodynamic shape and to encase his electric organs. He is shown here in an overpowering position: blocking the sun, threatening with lighting from his mouth, and lashing his tail fast enough separate gasses from the water. The print is 18x12.4in. with a 1in. dark gray boarder, 300dpi, and printed on photoprint paper.
