Description: Tough to really put this scrapbook into words. It has 1927 Pirates Win Pennant on the cover. On the interior it is inscribed (typed) that it was dedicated and presented to Pie Traynor by the boys of the Gusky orphanage (paraphrased). I have no way of knowing if Traynor ever actually was presented with the book. What follows is well over 250 pages (I counted over 300 but math don’t be my better subject) of newspaper and magazines clippings, most have images either drawn or newspaper photos. This is not just a bunch of box scores and text. The focus is on the Pirates but there is lots of Yankees and other teams and famous players. The articles/photos are adhered to the pages of a bound book or magazine called the Jewish Criterion. I believe it spans over a few years, but not everything is dated. It shows considerable wear and soiling, rough edges and such. But seriously if you’re worried about condition, then this is not for you. This is an incredible baseball archive. Please view all twelve photos to help judge condition. Insurance and signature confirmation included on domestic shipping charges.
