Description: OVERVIEW: Designed by Nathan George Horwitt in 1970, this is the "Museum Wall Clock" manufactured by Howard Miller. Based on his earlier "museum watch", the clock is now in the permanent collection of several museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In the last few years, the Howard Miller wall clock has become more difficult to find, and rarely offered in mint condition. This clock has been owned by my family since the 1970's. CONDITION: All parts are factory original, glass is pristine with no scratches. The white enamel case is immaculate except for two almost imperceptible marks, each about 1/32" (please refer to the detailed photo with ruler). The original AA battery mechanism works accurately (replacements are inexpensive and available on Howard Miller's web site). The hour and minute hands are secure and move smoothly. There are a few faint dust particles (too light to be photographed) visible on the glass inside the clock. If this concerns you, the unit could be opened from the back and cleaned. However, this clock has never been opened (note the rubber factory seals), so that decision is yours. Frankly, it's barely visible, so I wouldn't be concerned about the dust, but I want to be fully transparent with any imperfections, no matter how slight. In a practical sense, this 54 year old mid-century collectible could pass as factory new! SHIPPING: I don't have the original box, but the clock will be double boxed and well protected. Unless you request otherwise, I ship USPS Ground Advantage, fully insured, with a 30-day return policy. Of course I'll include the vintage magazine ad as shown. PRICING: I'm a motivated seller, and would like to sell this item before the holidays. If it doesn't sell in the first few days, I'll reduce the price until it does. If you're interested but not ready to purchase, click "add to watchlist" to be notified of price adjustments. I'm easily reached here on eBay and respond promptly to questions. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Bill Noll Easton, PA, USA
