Description: Hammond Model A Organ 1935 W/ Leslie Speaker. This is the ORIGINAL Hammond console organ. This one's extra special, being from the second year of production. As you already know, this instrument ushered in a new sound into pop, soul, gospel, blues, rock, country, and all other types of music. It's sound is one that is irreplaceable, and irrepricable. The model A is special because it has an extra 13 tonewheels, its register extends lower than other hammonds! That sweet bass! Functionally, the organ is a bit of a mystery, the supplied amplifier needs new tubes to be tested. The organ could likely have a leslie kit hooked up to it and function perfectly, but we have no way to test it with a hammond tone cab (for which the attached cable is meant). For these reasons, it is sold "as is". Cosmetically, the instrument not perfect (bear in mind that its 83 years old though). Please take a good look at the pictures, which try to highlight the entire instrument so you can have an accurate idea of the condition. Despite its various scratches, dents, and gouges it is a stunning and regal looking instrument. The keys/drawbars are in excellent shape. This organ is a real piece of history, and has plenty of music to give yet.
