The reverse features a lakeside scene with foliage, animals, birds, crane, large lotus & other flowers and bamboo. The richness and abundance of characters against the dark background makes this a must see, exceptionally decorative work of art and luminous piece. The screen measures over 12 feet laid out flat with eight panels covered with lacquer, incised and painted with natural color pigments. The panels are supported by straight legs with patinated brass clad feet. Beautifully crafted with a desirable aged patina.
