Description: ERIC CLAPTON SIGNED PILGRIM 1998 TOUR & BACKSTAGE PASSES FROM ALL 3 SHOWS AT MSG -MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN NEW YORK! I KNOW I SAVED TWO GUITAR PICKS AS WELL - ONE FROM THE FIRST NIGHT AND ANOTHER FROM THE LAST NIGHT. I BELIEVE THEY ARE IN MY OTHER STORAGE FACILITY IN CHICAGO BUT WILL INCLUDE THEM TO THE AUCTION WINNER AS THEY ALL NEED TO BE FRAMED UP TOGETHER. BOLD SIGNATURE - HE SIGNED IT IN SILVER AND IT STANDS OUT - WILL LOOK BEATIFUL FRAMED! Such an incredible and rare item! You can occasionally find something that is actually authentic offered for sale - but it's very rare! This is your opportunity to purchase an item personally signed by Eric! I had the good fortune of working on 7 different tours. He did not stop to sign items very often and most times, once he entered the venue, you wouldn't even see him other than soundcheck. He would leave hotels and enter and exit venues surrounded by management and security. Sometimes with friends, family or band members with him. Approaching artists for an autograph as part of the crew was extremely frowned upon and could get you into a lot of trouble and/or even fired. I had to pick my opportunities very wisely and it often involved a friend with promotion, production / band management and an expensive bottle of bourbon as a thank you. My very last Clapton show was in 2010 at the Crossroads Festival at Toyota Park just outside Chicago. My very first tour working Clapton was on the 1992 tour. Prior to that I had seen him in a non-working capacity in 1988 at Alpine Valley and was at both concerts in 1990 at Alpine Valley... the evening Stevie Ray Vaughan died in the helicopter accident. Eric Clapton is arguably one of the greatest guitarists that has ever lived. Stevie Ray Vaughan is the greatest in my opinion. That said, Slowhand would leave you in awe! 'Pilgrim' is a great recording and seeing him out on tour in 1998 was awesome. In over 3 decades, not once, did I ever see a bad show. Gifted musician and incredible performer. Here is your chance to own a true piece of rock & roll history. I can't decide whether or not I want to frame this piece for myself or simply get it into the hands of another TRUE fan. Undoubtedly, one of the greatest musicians of our time and who's music speaks to multiple generations. I am going to offer this up for sale and in the event, it does not sell in short order, I may just pull it and frame it up to hang in my Manhattan residence. I wanted to simply give the buyer an opportunity to frame this in a manner they personally see fit. ABOUT ME: I worked in the live / touring music business beginning in 1986... over 3 decades. In that time, I amassed a collection of items like no other and am now offering a small portion of my items to the public. What you are bidding on is an item that was actually signed by the band / artist, and it is as real as it gets (unlike most of what I see online). If you are looking to purchase something authentic - here is your chance. It will pass any authentication process you wish and is as rare as it gets. I went so far as to literally catalog everything I collected at a particular promotional event or concert and going so far as to keep an actual journal for over 30 years with meticulous notes. I look forward to finding good homes for these pieces... It breaks my heart to sell, but I must part with some of them as I have literally run out of storage and refuse to rent a larger unit. All of these items have been stored in a temperature-controlled storage facility and the framed items were custom framed by a professional framing company to museum quality standards using Acid Free materials and UV / Museum protective glass. Shipping charges cover all packing materials including shipping with tracking and insurance for the full purchase price. Every effort is made to ensure your item gets to you in perfect condition with extreme precautions taken using bubble wrap and proper shipping boxes used. The insurance / tracking numbers are provided immediately after shipping in the extremely rare event any damage should occur in transit. Thank you for your interest.... It's been a lifelong passion of mine preserving these items and the kind words and appreciation mean the world to me.
