Description: This is a gorgeous teapot. I cannot find another piece of pottery by this artist so I don't know if this is a private Studio piece or just some good Artisan made it and put his name on it. I live in California in the heart of a pottery district. We have a lot of artists up here. This is a beautiful drip glaze piece with an unmovable handle. It holds a good amount of water...enough for at least 6 cups of tea. It is glazed inside and out. I see no evidence of it being ever over a fire so I think you're supposed to take the water and put it inside with the tea. This is a fairly old piece. But I don't want to venture a guess as to the decade. It is in fabulous condition except for a chip on the inside of the lid. I took a picture. It does not distract at all from the overall look of the piece or the function of the piece. If you collect unique teapots you may want to add this one to your collection.
