Will need new seat cover. Good condition for its age. My 230# son did sit on it. It does hold his weight, but he says it does feel slightly unstable. Please be aware that this stool is over 100 years old. I would use this more as a decorative piece than an actual stool to sit on. Will come apart for shipping. T622
