There is a stencil on the reverse that we believe could well be a Christies stock number. Age- c1860 Size- 26 by 22 inches approx including frame, canvas 20 by 16 inches. Medium- Oils on canvas, re-lined. Frame- Antique wooden frame, some knocks and losses, offered free with the painting. Condition- We would be happy to hang this as found. The painting has been professionally cleaned and re-lined at great expense to the previous owner. Some restorations throughout and some craqueleur visible. Signature- Unsigned to the front, ascribed verso and with an old Christies stencil to the wooden stretcher.
