Description: A good strong master butter knife that exhibits some wear to the highest points. This appears to be a variation of the Prince Albert pattern. It was not uncommon for early silversmiths to copy and change slightly fashionable desirable patterns to suit their customers’ needs. The blade is engraved with a central helmeted medallion head. This is emphasized with scrolling work above and below. There is a period monogram to the back-D. Hallmarked F&H for Farrington & Hunnewell Boston. Photographed in as found estate condition, minor wear from age and use. Approx 6 3/4”l, 29.8g. Including Free Shipping with USPS Ground Advantage!
