Description: 185 page typescript, report of LaSor's expedition in Feb to June 1952, in preparation for a film to be produced by Westminster Films. Typed on thin paper, three-hole punched, bound in a metal strap binder. There are NO photos - this is just La Sor's report of the trip. You can see the places he visited in the table of contents. Travel wasn't easy back then - the opening chapter describes the flight in a TWA propeller-driven Constellation, from New York's Idlewild Airport to Gander, Newfoundland for fuel, then to Shannon Airport in Ireland, then Orly Field, south of Paris, then to Cairo, Egypt. The pilot circled the Matterhorn twice so passengers could get a good look. Then they flew to Basrah, Iraq and took an Iraqi Airways Viking to Baghdad. This typescript was created for partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Doctor of Theology degree at USC. Astonishing that a travelogue could be used for such a degree! Maybe it didn't work - this publication is not in the USC library! It may be a one-of-a kind book! I do not know if this was eventually published as a book, or if the film was ever produced.
