Description: 4 Antique Z. S. & Co. Zeh Scherzer Kingfisher Bird Dessert Plates Bread & Butter Made in Bavaria by Zeh Scherzer & Co. sometime between 1880 and 1918 (as indicated by the version of their mark on the underside) Each plate features a kingfisher bird perched on a flowery branch. There is a thin blue trim line at the rim of each plate, and additional flowers on the side opposite the kingfisher. Each plate measures about 6" in diameter. No chips, no cracks, no repairs.One of the plates has a faint stain on the underside (see photo)Each plate seems to have a little bit of wear to the blue on the kingfisher. I suspect this is from being stacked together and moved around for over a hundred years!
