Description: OK I'll try to be as factual as possible and have all the records from Build Sheet to now! In 1997 Mr Mark Goldberg purchased a 1997 Corvette from Bruce Gluec Chevrolet in Florida at a cost of $43,533.63. Mr Golberg Lived in Scottsdale Ariz and registered the vehicle in his name. In July he sent the Corvette to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering in Decatur Ill.Lingenfelter installed the first LS1 motor for a Corvette EVER and thus serial #1 with certification from Lingenfelter! That cost was $20,560 The Corvette was completed in Oct of 1997 and that project from Ligenfelter was featured in August 1997 Cover of Motor trend Magazine. I have the original. The car was shipped Back to Mr Goldenberg in October and registered in Arix to Mr Goldberg with 564 Miles Have orig registration!Mr Goldberg enjoyed the car showed it,had it registered with NHRA and teched for safety etc In Feb 2002 Mr Goldberg sent the car Back to Lingenfelter Performance and had the motor rebuilt with the newer state of the art equipment. The orig motor was taken out of the car and totally rebuilt to modern specs. of course all the paperwork is in hand. Mileage was recorded at 34,000 The cost of that renew was $15,916 Of course we have all the performance specs From Linenfelter for both the original motor and the rebuild. Mr Goldberg enjoyed and maintained the car and then for most of the next 5 years the car was serviced and register with an average of 1,000 miles per year In Feb 2007 My Goldberg put the car up for auction At the prestigious Barrett Jackson auction In Scottsdale Aris and sold for App $50,000 Car then went to Talmage and Georgia Dobbs and was registered in Florida in March of 2007 Mr Dobbs was an avid collector and i believe had 2 other Lingenfelter Corvettes. Mr Dodds loved this car and I have thousands and thousands of upgrades and service and repairs over the time that he owned the car. But he actual only put approximately 2,000 miles on the car. Most of which was driving it to shows and the Corvette dealership. To say the least the car was meticulously maintained and kept in pristine condition. Has both factory tops. Tons of accent upgrades to a/c. Transmission was rebuilt during his ownership and as well as brakes gone over various lights, fans, belts, tires up grades etc etc and the leather seats had red accents installed. In total Mr Dobbs spent over $35,000 restoring and maintaining the car to better than new condition I think the oil was actually changed 6-7 times on 2000 miles or less. Mr Dobbs could not stand the car NOT being perfect at some point during his ownership! Sadly, in about 2018 Mr Dodds stopped driving the car and he passed away years later. It broke his wife's heart to have to sell his collection and she left a good friend of the family market the cars for her. I purchased the car from her through his company in Florida/ Him and I are avid Corvette collectors. As For me I had over 1300 Corvettes over the years member of NCRS and NCCC ACCA and judged for years. I have fondness for race cars and have auto crossed an hill climbed all kinds of cars over the years. I own a rear 88 Corvette Challenge for 23 and as a matter fact the man that organized the sale has a 89 Challenge car But Enough about that So That covers the documentation and condition. But make no mistake this car is NOT for the faint of heart or inexperienced driver. As I said I have all the performance specs and this car does 0-60 in 4 seconds 1/4 mile in 12 and 280 MPH top speed. This is a rare opportunity to own a part of Corvette history that simply can't be replaced. This is 1 of 1 the very First Lingenfelter Covette made for a customer and documented as such. I have had several Z06 and ZR1s and all very cool and limited production. I can't put an actual price on the car but I could not find another as they only made 1 that year and this is it except for 1 test car. Almost every ZR1 or Z06 is over $40,000 and lingenfelter cars are more! I have receipts for well over $100,000. This car should really be in a museum as a part of Corvette history that can not be replaced This will probably be the only time this car will be for sale on Ebay If it doesn't sell I will probably take to 2 specialty. Shows or try to keep it. The car is for sale and I will be happy to discuss and feel free to call me if truly interested in the car. As always we will be happy to assist with shipping and storage until the car can be picked up or delivered. As you can see we have 100% feedback rating and sent 5 classic corvettes all over the us in last 2 months Corvettes. Thank you for the interest in this fine Automobile. Larry717-269-5291
