Description: Original hand signed currency issued by the “State of North Carolina” in 1861. The “Ten Cents” note is also hand inscribed with the serial number “9674”. Fractional currency was issued because of the coin shortage during the Civil War. The fractional note is 1 ¾” x 3 ¼” in size and is in uncirculated condition The note will be shipped in a protective sleeve with a dated, hand signed Letter of Authenticity with a photograph of the currency above.
