15" Madame Alexander composition Sonja Henie doll

Description: This interesting little doll is approx. 15" tall (she measures just shy of 15"). She is marked Madame Alexander Sonja on the back of her head at her hairline. She is composition and we believe she is from the 1930's. Her face paint is ok but faded and some is missing on her lips and eyebrow. She has visible crazing on her face and throughout her body. Her hair is mohair we think... and we also think her interesting hairstyle is from the factory. Her beautiful sleep eyes work and she has beautiful thick eyelashes. She has an open mouth and teeth. *Her teeth are strange in that when you lay her down they fold back into her mouth when her eyes roll back. When she is laying down it looks like she doesn't have teeth. When you stand her up and her eyes open up, her teeth re-appear. Very weird. The crazing on her right arm is pretty significant and visible. She also has some black mark/staining on her right hand pinkie. Her legs are very crazed and it's visible. Her stringing is loose so her head is a bit floppy if you move her around. On a doll stand her head sits ok. Her outfit, bow in her hair and her silk booties appear to be original. We did not attempt to remove any of her outfit because we didn't want to damage them and her booties are glued onto her feet. It's weird that she doesn't have skates? But we do believe that her booties are original as they match her dress. Her dress has a big stain on it. We don't know if it will come out or not. We can't say she's cute or even pretty but she sure is interesting looking and we couldn't find another one online that looked like her! Especially with her hairstyle!
