Sprocket, 43t Rear Sprocket For QUICK ACCELERATION 17/43t gear ratio (QUICKER off the line, QUICKER roll on's, EASIER wheelies), Use a 17t (-1t) front sprocket and a 43t (oem) rear sprocket. Although your bike will be much quicker with this Q.A. kit , it wil be a little slower on top speed, and a little higher RPM's at top gear cruising speeds. Teeth and Sizes Explained... ** A -1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +3t rear sprocket change. ** A +1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as -3t rear sprocket change. ** A -1t front and +2t rear combination is EXACTLY the same as a +5t rear only change with stock front sprocket. ** A 520 size chain is approx. 2mm narrower than a 525 chain, and 4mm narrower than a 530 chain. Less mass equals lighter weight equals easier to spin, but the ratio (teeth size) change makes the big difference.
